Nevermind Farm to Table. How About a Table at the Farm?

Join us for an evening under the stars in Bluemont, VA, dining in our field while supporting our mission to employ people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. During the special event, you will enjoy:

  • Appetizers in the Greenhouse: Grilled Strawberries, Chiffonade Spinach, Goat Cheese Zabaione, Prosciutto Crisps

  • First Plate: Farm House Salad, with Snap Peas, Beets, Shaved Egg, & Buttermilk-Leek Dressing

  • Entrees: Mustard-Herb Roasted Chicken Quarters and Grilled Sirloin with Port Veloute

  • Sides Dishes:

    • Blistered Green Bean Trio, Radicchio, Warm Bacon and Balsamic Vinaigrette

    • Broccoli Aglio y Olio

    • Smashed Potatoes with Onions and Garlic

  • Dessert: Summer Berry Shortcake, with Chantilly, Mint, & Spiced Sugar

    Sounds delicious, right?!!!

We've arranged for all of the food that we can't grow on the farm to be donated, which means that the majority of revenue from all tickets sold will go directly to supporting our mission to employ people with intellectual & developmental disabilities.

Thank-you so much to our donors: meat from Oakland Green Farm and Matt and Claire Burns of Purcellville, VA, bread from Dolce & Ciabatta Bakery and Cafe in Leesburg, VA, dairy products from South Mountain Creamery in Middletown, MD, wine from Walsh Family Wine and Delirium Cafe in Loudoun County, and a delicious four-course meal, created by Chef Justin Garrison, of Justin Thyme Culinary of Round Hill, VA .

Ticket sales will directly support A Farm Less Ordinary, a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to provide employment and a welcoming community to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), while sustainably growing organic vegetables. It is our firm conviction that people should be recognized for their contributions, not defined by their disabilities.
